Objective: Attendees will be able to learn and diagnosis treatment options for interesting and unusual cases for patients who suffer from conditions affecting their foot, ankle and lower leg. The session will review treatment methods for the different pathologies and how to appropriately use alternative diagnostic methods for foot and ankle. Attendees will review how to diagnose and work up unusual cases and learn how to perform techniques that the faculty enjoys to perform and why.

This session will review diagnostic techniques and the importance of obtaining a definitive diagnosis, discuss the latest regarding skin cancer, and the latest in new therapeutic agents.

Building Your Pre-Operative Blueprint: Tips for a More Successful Post Operative Patient Management Experience
Objective: This session will review how to perform a thorough pre-operative assessment and evaluation of the patient to accomplish a successful surgical result. Discussion will include setting patient goals and expectations to achieve surgical success. The session will identify patient risk factors, including medical comorbidities and social parameters. Attendees will review how to conduct proper informed consent for the surgical patient, and how to complete adequate documentation to minimize legal risk for surgical patients.

Posterior Heel - Dr. Lawrence DiDomenico; Dr. Mark Hofbauer; Dr. Robert Mendicino; Dr. Ashley Mychak
Objective: Attendees will be able to identify operative versus non-operative patients for the surgical reconstruction of the posterior heel. Attendees will be able to appropriately diagnosis posterior heel pain by the use of x-rays MRI and/or ultrasound. The audience will better understand how to treat the posterior heel non-operatively and better understand operative reconstruction of the posterior heel.

Objective: This this three-part session will discuss wound care 101, advanced therapies in wound management, and important surgical principles in wound care.
Part 1 – Wound Care 101
Objective: Attendees will get a thorough review of wound healing basics, wound care dressings and treatment modalities. The presentation will have some case studies to help connect all of the basics of wound care, dressings and treatment options. There will be time for discussion with the audience and questions from the audience.
Part 2 – Advanced Therapies in Wound Management
Objective: Attendees will review and discuss clinical experiences for advanced wound care modalities, and the presentation will provide an objective overview of the available advanced wound therapies and their potential utility. The presentation will make recommendations on the implementation of these therapies in wound management.
Part 3 –Surgical Principles in Wound Care Objective: Attendees will review and discuss benefits of surgical intervention for complex foot and ankle deformities. Various surgical procedures for complex foot and ankle wounds for offloading, preserving, and optimizing foot and ankle function will be discussed including amputation techniques. Evidence based discussion along with future directions in limb preservation will be reviewed. The discussion will provide guidance for current and future directions in surgical limb preservation techniques.
